Hey guys, I know I've been away (in my Brent voice) but I'm back and ready to bring you guys some new concepts and ideas. For today's post I want to show you all a fit from my recent Cali trip. What I really loved about it is the color combo of brown and black. Like I stated in a previous post, brown is one of the hardest colors to work with in my opinion. With this fit I used black as the combining color. I have to thank Stef for helping me with this fit, too. Two Pisces creatively coming together equals pure magic!

THE LOOK

Top: NumberNine (archive)

Pants: Stussy $130

Shoes: Dr. Martens $106

Hat: Guitarboy Archives

Inspo

So like mentioned before, this was a fit I put together while in Cali. When it comes to fits it's usually an in the moment thing for me, unless I have a specific event or occasion to attend. For this look I wanted to tap into my inner tomboy with these baggy pants (which are actually a men's large). I was a little unsure on what route I wanted to go when it came to the top, then Stef recommended I wear the NumberNine sleeveless T; a choice I instantly fell in love with.

Numbernine now consists mainly of archived pieces by Japanese designer Takahiro Miyashita. Miyashita's designs can be described as a mix between pop culture and punk rock.

When it came to shoes we decided the black Docs would add to the black top. I saw the Guitarboy hat and felt it was the perfect accessory to top the fit off (pun intended).

Guitarboy is a black-owned brand by Delawess, with items including hats. jackets, pants and more. If you'd like to see some more pieces from the brand, head to https://www.instagram.com/guitarboyarchive/

So this is pretty much sums of this fit. I love to switch it up and try different looks, this one definitely being in my top 3 fits for the year. Thank you all for tuning in, be back soon with more looks, concepts and some of my fave brands soon...toodles!

Let's get into part 2 of my F/W trends. Here you'll see some wide leg pants, sweater vests (a f/w fave of mine), patterned denim and more.

Trend #1 Sweater Vest / Wide Leg Pant

Top: SHEIN $27

Pants: YMC $255

Hat: SHEIN $6

Shoes: Dr.Martens $150

I loveeee a good neutral palette and this is just that. The Dr. Marten oxfords were the perfect shoe for this look. Oxfords are also a great shoe to elevate a look and make it a bit more elegant. I would definitely consider this shoe a must have for your closet.

Trend #2 Hoodie / Wide Leg Pant / Chunky Boot / Shoulder Bag

Hoodie: Collina Strada $240

Pants: YMC $255

Bag: Asos $29

Boots: Chloe $495

The trends I wanted to show with this look are the chunky boot and wide leg pant. These Chloe boots have been in my wish list for so long; I feel they go with so many items in the closet. It's also a rain boot so it serves more purpose outside of fashion and we love that!

Trend #3 Vest / Pattern Pant / Chunky Boot / Shoulder Bag

Top: SHEIN $19

Pants: Anntian $255

Earrings: Shushu Tong $110

Bag: Asos $29

Boots: Tibi $535

The sweater vests are making such a huge comeback this year! I definitely purchased a few already. They have a grandma like feel to it bu can be styled very nicely. I love them. I love all the colors of this look. Red, white, and black play so well together, especially here.

Trend #4 Turtleneck Vest / Pattern Pant

Top: Andersson Bell $265

Pants: Serapis $340

Earrings: Maria Black $70

Look 4 is all about mixing neutral tones with a pop of color. This cropped sweater vest by Bell is such a cute fall/winter piece for the closet. These Maria Black earrings are the perfect accessory to tie in both the nudes and color of this look. Finishing it off with these tan Tabis really sealed in the look; you can never go wrong with these heeled boots!

Trend #5 Hoodie / Midi Skirt

Hoodie: Petra Collins $170

Skirt: Marques Almeda $325

Hat: Acne Studios $68

Boots: Unif $79

An item I've really been loving this fall/winter is the midi skirt. This item is a great piece for when you want to dress up and try something outside of jeans. They can be paired with crop tops, blazers, hoodies (in this case), sweaters and more. I wanted to be a bit unconventional and use a hoodie to create a more sportier look. The logo on the hoodie adds color to the look and coordinates well with this tye-dye skirt. Adding this Acne Studios beanie really completed the overall look I was going for, which was cozy chic.

Let me know which look is your favorite! Thanks for tappin' in!

Hey guys! So as mentioned in my previous post I'm here to give you guys some men's fall and winter trends I feel will be prominent for the season. These looks will include cozy and comfy mules, polo shirts, cardigans, patterned pants and more. Let me know what you guys think!

Trend #1 Pattern Pant / Beanie / Mules

Top: Stussy $55

Pants: Xander Zhou $300

Beanie: Stussy $40

Mules: Subu $55

Look 1 is all about green hues and how it can be incorporated throughout the look. I initially had wanted a black top the go with the pants but this Stussy top matched so well with them! It's also a more affordable option, too. These patterned pants by Zhou are an amazing piece to have in the closet. You can dress them up with a pair of derbys and black button down or polo, or go for a more street style look like I did here.

Trend #2 Pattern Pant / Derbys / Tote Bag

Top: Rick Owens $350

Pants: Marine Serre $615

Shoes: Youths in Balaclava $495

Bag: Telfar $202

Look 2 is pretty simple color scheme with some nice patterns going on. The detail in these derbys by Balaclava are actually insane. Definitely click the link to check them out fully. I because we have so much pattern in the pant and shoe I wanted to keep the top and accessory neutral themed. The Owens long sleeve is a great basic to have in your closet and makes for pairing with denim, dress pants, trousers, shorts and more. I added the black Telfar to top everything off and tie in this black and white theme I have going on here.

Trend #3 Pattern (Patchwork) Pant / Bucket Hat

Top: Tekia $150

Pants: Stussy $130

Hat: Engineered Garments $150

Shoes: Nike $120

For me this is my favorite men's look. I love the light taupes and browns used and how well they played off one another. I specifically love how the thin pin stripes match the color block part of the pants. That worked out so well! The patchwork pant is also a super popular piece right now, for men and women. Designers like Amiri uses this patchwork in his denim a lot. It's a fun and makes for many different colors and patterns to be used. I topped it off with this leopard print hat just to add some darker hues to the look. This is a very fun (and affordable) look I'd love to see someone in!

Trend #4 Polo Shirt / Trousers

Top: Vivienne Westwood $310

Pants: Raf Simons $512

Belt: BB Simons $350

Sneakers: Olivia Kim 4's (resell price found $410)

Look 4 is giving the guys class and culture all in one. I love the all black look with a pop of color in this Simon's belt. It was just what the fit needed! There's actually no belt loops in these pants which I kinda questioned at first but my friend Orie assured me it'd still be fye, so here we are. I love the all black look on men and women; it's always been a favorite of mine. It's effortless and clean... love loveee love this look!

Trend #5 Oversized Printed Pant / Hoodie

Top: Namesake $400

Pants: Namesake $500

Necklace: Alyx $120

Shoes: Margiela $328

Look 5 is one I absolutely need to style someone in! I love these colors and the oversized vibe this look is giving. I stuck with a white shoe because of all the color and print going on, and the Replica sneakers are a great choice. They also pair well with so many items in a man's closet. We love a shoe with versatility! This look is chef's kiss*!

I hope you all enjoyed Part 1 of men's trends for this upcoming season. I definitely wanna recreate some of these looks in real life and see how they'd play out. Talk soon guys, thanks for tuning in!
