Hey loves, it's been a while since I've been on here and created some fit inspo for you all! I'm excited to be back creating new concepts, and coming up with some new ideas. Since we're heading into the best month of all, February, I wanted to do a theme based off the holiday Valentine's Day. Whether you have plans with your boo, bf/gf, friends, side nigga, or even if you're anti-Valentines, I want to make some fit options for each one of those cases. Naturally I used a lot of pinks and reds to incorporate the V-day theme but tried doing it in a tasteful way. Let me know what you all think!

Look 1

Date Night for Baecation ❤️

Look number 1 is the epitome of Valentine's Day. I wanted to do a pink fit with all red accessories and this is perfect. I love this Gucci scarf, which I'd tie around the neck to give more detail to this simple silk dress. The necklace could also work witht he scarf to add even more to her neck. I see this look on a vacation in Tulum with babe for Valentine's weekend. It's the perfect dress to slip right into (and right out of). 🙃

For the men's look we have a really nice Valentine's color palette going. This Supreme jacket (with a nice crisp white tee underneath) was a random find of mine but I really love this!! And what better time to wear it then for the red and pink holiday? This pink fur Prada belt was a great accessory to bring this look together, creating the perfect balance to accentuate his (or hers) lover's lusty look. 💋

Women's Deetz

Dress: Gauge81 $178

Scarf: Gucci $195

Bag: Staud $86

Necklace: Shushu/Tong $135

Men's Deetz

Pants: Raf Simons $268

Belt: Prada (found on Grailed) $327

Shoes: Gym Red Dunks (found on Goat)

Look 2

Gangentine's 🌸

This look is for a chill night with the gals. Whether you guys are just lounging around drinking wine & twerking or decide to go out and grab a quick bite this look is super cozy and cute! I love the overload of pink of this with the different hues and shades. It's cute enough to wear out for dinner but cozy enough to go home and relax in after. Sidenote: This'll probably be me for V-day 😎

For the men's look I wanted to show another way these sneakers (low top version) could be styled in a way that matched the women's vibe. Not all men are necessarily into pink but this fit is a great way to dip your feet into it!

Women's Deetz

Hoodie: Petra Collins $110

Sweats: Alexander Wang $195

Sneakers: 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi $290

Beanie: Jacquemus $39

Men's Deetz

Hoodie: Noon Goons

Look 3

Anti V-day 🩸

This look is for all my ladies who are doing their own thing for V-day, whether it's some self care shopping, a sexy hotel night by yourself or whatever we single people do. This is the anti-Vday look. I incorporated some reds just to add to the Valentine's aesthetic while sticking to the black theme. Also these are actually mens' pants but I wanted to a men and womens' take on them because they're fiyaaa! These creepers were th eperfect way to finish off the outfit, giving me sexy vampire. 🦷 🩸

Like stated these are men's pants so I did a side-by-side of two different ways they can be styled. The price also isn't too bad so this would be a great addition to your closet!! These shoes (collab with Converse & Ambush) are super versatile and super well-priced. Pair them with denim, pattern and printed pants, trousers and more!

Women's Deetz

Top: Agent Provocateur $108

Bottoms (men's and women's): Eytys $260

Earrings: Dsquared2 $89

Belt: BB Simons $280

Shoes: Molly Goddard $160

Men's Deetz

Top: Acne Studios $310

Hat: Acne Studios $130

Belt: BB Simon $320

Shoes: Converse x Ambush: $160

Look 4

A Night Out

For look 4 it's giving me 90's aesthetic. This printed Gucci skirt paired with the kitten heal is a match made in heaven. Since there's a lot of class with that pairing I wanted the top to be a little deconstructed and a more relaxed fit. The detail on this top is pretty cool (and even better when looked at directly from the site). These cutesy bow earrings are the perfect accessory to bring this fit all together.

Despite the black top and black detail in the pants, this men's look is super bright and refreshing, a great contrast to the woman's look. I didn't add any accessory to this look because this pant and red shoe combo is enough in itself. Speaking of the red shoe, I feel like every man should have at least one pair of Margiela Replicas because they're super versatile! You can dress these up like I did here, wear them as sneakers for a sportier look, or with a nice jogger set. They came in various colors, you really can't go wrong with these!

Women's Deetz

Top: Toga $78

Skirt: Gucci $106

Earrings: Shushu/Tong $80

Heels: Kiki Kostadinov $167

Men's Deetz

Top: Diesel $45

Pants: Opening Ceremony $167

Shoes: Margiela $302

Look 5

Comfy Swaggy

For look 5 I wanted to do a look including pants and sneakers for a more comfier look. This look is super girly and soft, with beautiful shades of pinks, with this leopard bag to set it off. Also I absolutely love these Nike sneakers so much I had to buy them! The colors are absolutely beautiful and can pair nicely with many different pants. I also thought this was a great Easter option, (just in case you don't wear it for V-day)! These Anderson pants are another great buy, which can alternated throughout each season.

The men's look contains just the right amount of red to balance out this white and black color scheme. I love how fun and "out there" this fit is, definitely for a man willing to take risks in fashion! Also you can definitely use dupes of the beanie and bag that are a lot cheaper, I just used these since I was already on SSENSE. This men's look also pairs nicely with the women's look next to it; perfect date night pairing!!

Women's Deetz

Top: Isa Boulder $126

Pants: JW Anderson $202

Bag: Ganni $90

Sneakers: Nike $130

Men's Deetz

Top: JW Anderson $275

Pants: Vyner Articles $193

Hat: Harmony $46

Bag: CDG $247

Shoes: Converse x Telfar $150

Styling & creative direction by me

Shot with @dejaeboni

Helloo everyone, happy new year! How are we feeling the first week of January, 2021? The world's been pretty eventful thus far, but that doesn't stop us from putting our best fits forward! With that being said, I want to get in to the latest shoot I did with Naika, a super sweet and talented photographer from Brooklyn, NY. We collabed on this shoot and received a lot of love from it, including a shoutout from Aleali May. If you guys aren't familiar with her creative work check her out on IG @AlealiMay. To receive a shoutout from someone whose style is so well-respected means sooo much to me! Naika really brought this idea to life and I love that for us!!!

I asked Deja to be my muse for this shoot because I feel like we compliment each other super well and I literally saw this vision from the moment I put the looks together. I think I was pretty spot on with my predictions!

The colors and detail, down to the hair really made this a standout shoot of mine. This is only the beginning of a beautiful and SUCCESSFUL journey. But getting back on track, let's get into the fit breakdown!

My vision with these looks was to go early 2000's, with the two buns, cropped tanks and baggy pants. Of course I added my own spin, using the belts as huge accessory in these looks. I wanted each of our color schemes to be opposite yet still able to compliment each other well on camera.

Deja's look includes a tank from early 2000's brand "Happy Bunny," which is one of my favorite parts of this look. I wanted to channel that preteen era where we used to wear these bunny tanks with the sassy quotes. When it came to the pants, I got both at a flea market in Cali. Unfortunately I never get their name which I'm so mad about! (Maybe the government will see this and randomly throw them on my IG timeline). You never know, they be listening! 👀

For the belt I wanted to stick with the blue and green theme for her look so I used this green and gold chunky snakeskin Moncler belt. For shoes we used a pair of bright and colorful Nike sneakers. At first I contemplated even using shoes for the shoot but it ended up working out actually with sneakers!

My look consists of a Playboy tank top, the flea market pants, Aleali May 1's and this beautiful fluffy B.B Simon belt. The belt really did it for me in this look!

I'm soo happy with how well this shoot was received and how beautifully Naika captured it. For me this shoot set the New Year tone and is a big motivator for me to continue what I'm doing and to continue coming up with new creative ideas! I'm so happy you guys loved it, I'll be back with some new work soon... promise! Talk soon guys!

Hey guys! I wanted to do another segment of lookswithnique before the year ends, this one consisting of tons of fun color and warm winter textures. I found a lot of cool pieces on ssense.com that I'm sure you guys will love as well.

For me I really love look number 1. These beautfully colored pants combined with this Acne top is the perfect match for me. I love using white to balance a look. Let me know which look you guys love most in the comments, and what you wanna see more of in 2021! 🙂

Women's Looks

Look 1

Top:Acne Studios $

Bottoms: AGR $

Boots: Issey Miyake $303

Necklace: Ambush $84

Look 2

Top: JW Anderson $450

Pants: Collina Strada $172

Earrings: Monies $51

Boots: ABRA

Look 2 is such a feminine color combination. It's giving me a forest or Caribbean vacation vibe with the use of green, orange and yellow. Also this JW top with the pom poms... so cute! I love a top with detail and color, and this is just that. For shoes I love how the green accents the pants. I actually was choosing between these or the pink Venetas in look 3, but ultimately chose green. (Either shoe would be a great option though!)

Look 3

Hoodie: Acne Studios $340

Pants: Lemaire $416

Earrings: Uncommon Matters $54

Bag: MM6 $88

Shoes: Bottega Veneta $860

Look 3 is all about soft pastels, one of my favorite color palettes. I love how light and dainty this fit is, and these Uncommon earrings added to that dreamy vibe. Mixing light pinks and blues are one of my favorite color combinations!

Look 4

Top: Acne Studios $360

Pants: Paula Canovas Del Vas $194

Heels: Abra $311

Beanie: JuunJ $20

Look 4 was mainly focused around these pants, and how I can compliment them through my choice of top and accessory. I decided to keep it pink in the top and bottom. Because of that I chose black in the heels and hat so the fit isn't overwhelmed with heavy color. Also the use of stripes in the top and bottom is one of my favorite aspects about this look. It's so fun! It's giving me the Cheshire Cat from Alice in wonderland!

Look 5

Top: Mugler $670

Skirt: Rick Owens $318

Bag: Marge Sherwood $179

Necklace: Justine Clenquet $74

Shoes: Stella McCartney $493

Look 5 is all about working with neutral tones and adding a pop of color in a tasteful way. For me the perfect look is all about balance and tastefulness. For a complete winter look you can add a camel toned jacket to keep the color palette together. For me I wanted to focus on a nice top and long skirt combo since these midi length skirts are such a popular winter item!

Also just a sidenote guys: A lot of stylist and people in general have a hard time combining color, texture and prints without it being overwhelming or a look that's just not put together. I would say as a stylist this is one of my biggest attributes. I'm very much a visual artist and learner, so it's easy for me see things without it physically being there yet. I can picture how an outfit will look without it actually there yet. This is a great niche to have an one of the things I feel sets me apart from others. I know I got a little off route there but just had to throw that in so you guys can kind of understand me and my thought process better when it comes to making looks.

I hope you guys enjoyed this one and have a happy last week of 2020! Talk soon!
