Hey guys! I recently worked on a styling project with my roommate Mark, and Vani as my model. This shoot was very important to me being that it's my first official men's look. As a woman of course I love styling women's looks, but to be able to switch it up and tap into my masculine side is a lot of fun, too. I often to describe my look as sexy tomboy, pretty much being 50% feminine, 50% masculine so I really enjoyed doing this look for Vani! It's always fun diving into something new!
Getting into what he's wearing, I used the brands Eytys (pants) and Awake NY (top) for the look. I wanted to stick to a white and black color scheme to match the backdrop I had. We also used another metallic-esque backdrop on my roof for some shots. The backdrop actually worked so well with the outfit!

Look Details
Top: Awake NY $50
Bottoms: Eytys $260
Sneakers: Jordan 4's (resale only)
Getting into this top from Awake it's pretty simple yet still highlighting a black figure in history, Angela Davis. She was known for her role as a Black Panther and civil rights activist. Davis was such a prolific black woman during the times that John Lennon and Rolling Stones wrote a song about her! Whew, the power! One of her most famous quotes is seen here on the shirt saying, "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change, I'm changing the things I cannot accept." Bringing a piece of black excellence with a message to this look was *chefs kiss!

For the pants, I've had my eye on these for a while! I featured them in my Valentine's Day looks last month for both men and women; that's how much of a fan I was! (And still am). These are a waxed denim with such a beautiful shine and finish to them. They looked amazing on SSENSE and even more amazing in person. They definitely are a unisex pant that works for so many looks. Because of the sheen finish they pair nicely with a button down, graphic tee, black denim jacket... pretty much any look can be achieved with these. The pants also feature an extra tag that hangs out which can be cut off but I actually love how it added a color pop to the look. But tag on or off, these pants are perfection!
For sneakers we used the Bread 4's to complete this look, tying in the red, white and black color scheme. Additionally I added this silver chain and black bucket for extra detail.
Overall I'm very happy with how this look and photos came out. This is really just the beginning of a long and beautiful journey of me following my dreams as a stylist! Stay tuned for more 💫 Talk soon!
