Hey guys! I recently worked on a styling project with my roommate Mark, and Vani as my model. This shoot was very important to me being that it's my first official men's look. As a woman of course I love styling women's looks, but to be able to switch it up and tap into my masculine side is a lot of fun, too. I often to describe my look as sexy tomboy, pretty much being 50% feminine, 50% masculine so I really enjoyed doing this look for Vani! It's always fun diving into something new!

Getting into what he's wearing, I used the brands Eytys (pants) and Awake NY (top) for the look. I wanted to stick to a white and black color scheme to match the backdrop I had. We also used another metallic-esque backdrop on my roof for some shots. The backdrop actually worked so well with the outfit!

Look Details

Top: Awake NY $50

Bottoms: Eytys $260

Sneakers: Jordan 4's (resale only)

Getting into this top from Awake it's pretty simple yet still highlighting a black figure in history, Angela Davis. She was known for her role as a Black Panther and civil rights activist. Davis was such a prolific black woman during the times that John Lennon and Rolling Stones wrote a song about her! Whew, the power! One of her most famous quotes is seen here on the shirt saying, "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change, I'm changing the things I cannot accept." Bringing a piece of black excellence with a message to this look was *chefs kiss!

For the pants, I've had my eye on these for a while! I featured them in my Valentine's Day looks last month for both men and women; that's how much of a fan I was! (And still am). These are a waxed denim with such a beautiful shine and finish to them. They looked amazing on SSENSE and even more amazing in person. They definitely are a unisex pant that works for so many looks. Because of the sheen finish they pair nicely with a button down, graphic tee, black denim jacket... pretty much any look can be achieved with these. The pants also feature an extra tag that hangs out which can be cut off but I actually love how it added a color pop to the look. But tag on or off, these pants are perfection!

For sneakers we used the Bread 4's to complete this look, tying in the red, white and black color scheme. Additionally I added this silver chain and black bucket for extra detail.

Overall I'm very happy with how this look and photos came out. This is really just the beginning of a long and beautiful journey of me following my dreams as a stylist! Stay tuned for more 💫 Talk soon!

Hey guys! I've been taking some time off from blogging as I'm trying to generate some new ideas and concepts for you all. I don't like publishing things without a rhyme or reason so I'm currently working on some fresh new ideas. Also the season's are changing, it's getting warmer which means time for spring/summer looks! Summer is definitely my favorite season to get dressed. I love mini skirts, silk tanka, slips.. basically anything you'd see Carrie Bradshaw in on a day-to-day. I really want to bring that "Sex and the City" vibe back this summer, but in black! To be honest I'm not sure where I'm headed with my upcoming blog posts but I promise you all the looks, shoots, inspo and concepts will be on the way! Bare with me as I adjust and make some changes to what you all currently see. I'll be back soon with some very exciting content for you guys! Talk soon.

Hey guys! I wanted to do another brand highlight and create some looks (using tops and bottoms) with one of my faves, Eckhaus Latta. The brand was founded in 2011 by designers Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta. Their brand reminds me of another one of favorites, Ottolinger (whom I've also done a look book for). Latta's clothing is very unique with tons of color, top-stitching, patterns, raw finishing, beautiful knitting and more. One of their most known aspects, top-stitching is seen by many smaller based brands and often recreated. Another popular aspect is their pants. They always include crazy color, cuts and patterns which you'll see in this look book. Each of their pieces speaks for itself, really!

Look 1

Playful and Purple

I love this look for it's subtle pops of purple! It's subtly shown in the top stitching in the top, in the heels and bag. This look also has an earthy tone to it with the floral and tree design on the bag. I love how this look is elevated by adding a cute kitten heel. We love a cute kitten heel!

Top: Eckhaus Latta $120

Pants: Eckhaus Latta $336

Bag: 10 Corso Como $52

Shoes: Kwaidan Editions $200

Look 2

Make it Pop

This look is all about pops of color, with blue being the star in this. Similar to the top stitching in look 1, one of Eckhaus' most notable characteristics in their clothing, I wanted to bring that color out. I added a black hat to add just small detail to the look, instead of sticking to a full grey and red fit. Midi length skirts are also very on trend and pair nicely with a pair of thigh high boots. This combination is also great for the winter, keeping your legs warm yet still pulling off a look!

Top: Eckhaus Latta $285

Skirt: Eckhaus Latta $425

Hat: Y3 $85

Shoes: Marc Ellis $123

Look 3

Cozy Neutrals

This look is all about the winter feels. Brown and white combos are always an instant match so I stayed true to that for this one. These Brain Dead Converse are perfect to bring this top and bottom combo together. I stayed true to the winter coziness by adding this AMI beanie which I love! The look is also elevated by adding a crisp white trouser rather than pairing the hoodie with another sweat-like bottom.

Hoodie: Eckhaus Latta $230

Pants: Eckhaus Latta $192

Hat: AMI $125

Shoes: Brain Dead x Converse $140

Look 4

Light & Airy

This look is a the perfect fit to a fresh start in Spring time. This bright floral detail in the top mixed with these eccentric green hues are sure to be captivating to onlookers. I didn't want the pants and shoe to match perfectly which is why I used a bright green rather than the mustard yellow in the pants. I added this JW orange bag to add to our spring color palette, keeping the look very bright and colorful. I just loveee the lightness and airiness of this outfit! This would make for a great brunch fit with a nice neutral toned peacoat over to keep warm.

Shirt: Eckhaus Latta $149

Pants: Eckhaus Latta $192

Shoes: Staud $94

Bag: JW PEI $59

Look 5

Each Occasion

Look 5 is all about that summer time dining, vacation dinner, night out with the girls type vibe. I love the accents of blue throughout the look; I really wanted to pull some of the color out of the dress to give it a pop. This Jacquemus heeled clogs were the perfect shoe to make this look more girly and flirty, adding a playfulness to the overall look. I decided to pair this cute blue Ganni beach hat and JW bag to complete the look. This is probably one of my favorite looks I created so far; the detail and femininity is exuberayting throughout!

Dress: Eckhaus Latta $348

Bag: JW PEI $59

Hat: Ganni $80

Shoes: Jacquemus $302
