Hey guys! I recently dropped a shoot on my instagram with Orie and Lex, displaying the different temperaments and emotions we face while in love. I wanted to showcase all the feels we have when we are open to being vulnerable and receiving of love. I kept the scenery and looks pretty relaxed to really focus in on the emotions displayed between Orie and Lex.

Orie rests head on Lex's shoulder while eyeing white rose

I used white to display peace, serenity, purity, youth etc. To me white is soft and easy on the eyes so I stuck to that for the aesthetic of the pictures.

entire shoot shot, styled and creative direction by me 🤍

Since the basis of the look is white top and jeans, pf course I had to spice it up and make the sure the looks are still super detailed! I used this oversized Rick Owens top for Orie and a more fitted, one shoulder Owens' top for Lex. The Bravado jeans added just enough detail to the look, wit the lace, distressing, and off white colors of Lex's denim. I had the privilege of attending Ev's brithday this weekend, so to be able to have some content containing his brand be posted the following week was pretty nice!

For Orie's look, he's shown in a light wash denim with the 666 design Ev often uses in his pieces. White roses, white shoes and white backdrop definitely tied in the soft and serene aura I wished to achieve.

Being the photographer and stylist allowed me to really dive into every aspect of this shoot which I really liked! Sometimes as creatives we're super picky about our work and the vision of things, so this allowed me to really take matters into my own hands! This Fuji film camera also added even more of a vibe to the look and came out even better than I could've imagined! Shoutout to Orie and Lex for being my muses; my vision truly came to life!

Hey everyone!! I'm back to show you all some recent styling work of mine with my roommate @_.mark.conti as the photographer and our muses @3.16pm & @readynelly. Let me just say this has definitely been my favorite shoot thus far and the momentum is only continuing from here. I'm soo so happy with how these photos came out; literally perfection! We had over 800 pictures to choose from and it was not easy to decide at all! These ladies looked amazing, really. I somehow managed to narrow it down to about 30 pics and want to show you all some of my faves. Mark used his knowledge of color, lighting and photography skills to really make this shoot over the top! Of course you can find some of these images on my Instagram @sanauvanique, but since we had so many gems I wanted to show you a bit more of the magic we created. With that being said, take a look at the amazing moments we captured!!

First up I'm gonna start with Nelly's looks, which features a dress from my friend @wynell__. It's a black woman owned brand called @pompey.nyc, which features sexy pieces with form fitting material and most importantly, breathable material.

As you can see the dress is for my ladies who wanna show a lil skin yet still be able to style this dress to their liking. For me I added these cobalt blue, long satin gloves and the MISBHV beret hat. This definitely completed Nelly's look and these colors looked so good on her skin! (Links to clothing will be tagged below).

The hair and the beret made a great pairing and I couldn't be more happy with how this outfit came out! We even got this cool silhouette shot which came out beautifully!

If you're looking for small business black owned brands definitely check out Pompey NYC! I personally tried the dress on and it fits like a glove, yet I didn't feel suffocated in the dress. And if you want to look absolutely stunning, why would you not?!

Moving onto Deja's look we're getting into some real summertime shades. I wanted to do a look that complimented Nelly's outfit colors for when we did duo shots, so I chose blue, green and black to bring these looks together.

I had a fun time putting this look together because of all the color! If you know me you know I love playing with and mixing colors. This Louisa Ballou skirt came with a matching top but I like to switch things up and make my own outfit; it's more fun anyway! The Petra Collins' top brought out that lime green in the skirt and green in the bucket hat. Deja's full look (excluding shoes) can be found on SSENSE.

The skirt, shirt and hat go so well together, the girlies definitely need this look for vacay, brunch or whatever you're feelin'!

One of the standouts of this look was definitely the hat. Fun fact: it's actually meant to be a swimming hat which is cool! Once I saw it I knew it'd be perfect for her look. Deja killed this and she's been receiving so much love through Twitter about it so I'm super excited!

For the duo shots we got some good ones and these ladies complimented each other so well!

This pic is definitely my favorite out of all 800+ (lol). Mark recommended we crop the photo to just show the thighs up and that made all the difference. This pic is so clean and really shows you a close up of these looks. Literally perfection in my eyes! Not to mention these ladies had no makeup on and look flawless! WOW

Like I said this is my favorite shoot thus far and I'm only going up from here! Be sure to stay tuned to my Instagram and blog to see what I have in store for the summer! I hope you all loved this shoot as much as I did and found some summer fitspo for your future outfits!

I had so much fun on set, and Mark and I worked really hard to make sure this shoot was perfect! I'm excited to show you guys all I can do and how my journey of becoming a well-rounded stylist. More to come, thank you all for tuning in!

Hey guys, I'm back with another brand look book, featuring Eytys this week! The brand was created by Jonathan Hirschfield and Max Schiller in 2013. How did the duo get the name? They were born in the 80's and are part of Generation Y. The brand is most known for their footwear, creating fun spins on your typical tennis shoe / sneaker.

co founders John Hirschfield and Max Schiller

Besides footwear, the simplicity of their pieces make great pairing pieces, thus they go well with many different colors, prints and patterns. Most of Eytys' items are neutral toned which makes them classic pieces you can keep for years in your closet. Pieces like that never really go out of style! Over the past few years of my fashion journey I've learned how classic pieces are crucial for a good fashion wardrobe. Here are some looks I curated based off some Eytys pieces I found on SSENSE. Let me know what you all think!

Look 1

Top, Pants and Shoes Eytys

Look 1 we're going with a monochromatic this all white look. Sweater vests are definitely on trend right now and instantly make your outfit a bit more "dressed up." These Eytys sneakers are a great white sneaker option and can be dressed up or down.

Top: $170

Pants: $224

Shoes: $329

Look 2

Top, Pants and Shoes Eytys

Look 2 consist of neutral tones but gives a pop of color with this Paloma Wool bag, adding a refreshing feel to the look. These waxed coated jeans are an amaaazing piece for your wardrobe and a great replacement for your standard (and boring) black jeans! Who doesn't want to mix it up sometimes?

Top: $146

Pants: $182

Bag: Paloma Wool $75

Shoes: $329

Look 3

Top, Pants, Shoe Eytys

Look 3 includes a pair of my favorite boots I've found on SSENSE thus far; these bubblegum pink, thick heeled boots! They are stunning and give you a great pop of color in your wardrobe. These boots give me girly mixed with edge; a girl who likes to take risk with fashion. The top and pants are neutral toned so that look isn't super loud. Topping it off with this pink We11done bag, we have a nice balance between color and calm.

Top: $146

Pants: $205

Bag: We11done $231

Shoes: $405

Look 4

Pants Shoes Eytys

Look 4 is the perfect date night look. The detail on these Eytys jeans are amazing, with the gold and silver hardware and pocket styling. If you need a new pair of jeans in your closet but are tired of your standard skinny jean, this is it! These slightly wide leg jean have style and comfort, something that's hard to find in denim. I went for a more dressed up approach for the look, pairing it with the Charlotte Knowles bustier blouse and black Eytys heels. To add some color to the look I then added this mauve colored Ader Error bag.

Top: Charlotte Knowles $353

Pants: $255

Bags: Ader Error $181

Shoes: $316

Look 5

Pants Shoes Eytys

Look 5 includes this stunning top by a brand I recently discovered called Barragan. I love a good sheer top with amazing detail and that's exactly what this shirt includes. I paired it with these cool grey pants and derby shoes, and this floral Ganni bag and bright seafoam green bucket hat. These accessories add more color and detail to the fit and make for a beautiful summer look.

Top: Barragan $250

Pants: $205

Hat: Pushbutton $148

Bag: Ganni $81

Shoes: $381

As you can see Eytys has some pretty cool pieces for women and their prices aren't all that bad! Let me know if you ladies see anything you like for the summer (and future seasons)!
